Overall:    A bitter stick.  Not one of the better maduros.  Deservedly discontinued by the manufacturer.  True to the adage, "you get what you pay for".

Ambience:   Afternoon in the sunroom overlooking a late winter wonderland.  4" of snow fell last night so I am working from home, reviewing documents, mudding drywall, and napping.

Appearance: Fat, stubby sucker with a dark, mottled, medium veined wrapper with a double cap and a wide pretentious band.  Very hard along length.

Cut & Prelight:   Leathery, coffeed, nose-tingling aroma.  Quite firm draw.

First third:      Initially mouth-dryingly bitter.  1/2" still bitter.  Burning well leaving a compact white ash.  3/4" much of the bitterness has waned.  Abandoned at 1".  Still too bitter for my tastes.
