Overall score:    3.3/5.0

Overall:    A fair cigar, and certainly interesting.  From beginning to end the flavor profile constantly changed, starting peppered green nut, progressing through toasted nut and leather and fruit and ending with aromatic cedar.  Finish was pleasantly cedary.  Good burn and good smoke volume somewhat diminishing over the smoke.

Ambience:   In the sunroom after dark, sniping on CigarBid to keep some remote friends in cigars, and catching up on some Aviation reading.  Even went through a Pottery Barn catalog.

Appearance: Bandless torpedo with very light brown wrapper with small veins.  Slightly yielding along length with a nice pointed cap.  Seems a bit light for its size.

Cut & Prelight:   Sweet leather aroma.  Cut well revealing a very open draw.  Mild draw flavor with some pepper on the lips and tongue.

First third:      First puffs were peppery green nut.  My guess is Honduran.  Good smoke volume.  Most of the pepper quickly worked its way out and was replaced by a slightly toasty nuttiness.  Ashed at 3/4".  Aftertaste is sweet green nut.

Second third:     Even burn, good smoke volume, some leather in the aftertaste.  Flavored has mellowed.  Much of the green is out of the nut and some of the nut has been replaced with aromatic leather.  Like this third better - very nice.

Third third:      The aromatic in the leather turned to a fruitiness in the aftertaste - fruity leather.  Smoke volume declined as the cigar progressed.  The fruity leather changed into more of an aromatic wood as the nub was approached, particularly in the long aftertaste.  At 1.5" it suddenly became hot and ashy - abandoned.  Finish, long and cedary.
