Hype:       Triple fermented wrapper and fillers - a very Cubanesque aroma with a savory, complex and sweet taste.

Overall:    Sweet, cocoa throughout, with excursions to coffee and leather.  Started medium and became full flavored.  Very little nicotine buzz.  Good stick.  Similar to aged Bolivar Fuerte SRO and LGC Glorias Extra maduro.  Would make a very good corona sized smoke. 

Ambience:   In the sunroom after dark and after dinner (pork chops, caramelized onions and sweet meat squash).  Working on the Bozeman to Couer d'Alene leg of the flying blog. 

Appearance: Medium veined maduro wrapper with some tooth.  Very firm along length.  Long triple cap. 

Cut & Prelight:   Cut well yielding a somewhat restrictive draw that should open some.  Strong barnyard aroma, with a mildly sweet draw flavor - somewhat Cubanesque.

First third:      Immediately bitter sweet, with a touch of pepper.  Bitterness was very short-lived, ephemeral.  Some cocoa in the aftertaste.  Reminds me of a LGC Gloria Extra in Maduro.  Ashed itself at 3/4".  Sweet cocoa continues.

Second third:     Flakey ash, does not hold long.  Sweet, cocoa, and now some coffee aftertaste.  Smoke volume okay.  Some leather too.  Cocoa becoming more intense. 

Third third:      Sweet, cocoa and coffee, with a leather back.  Also reminds me of a Bolivar Fuerte.  Aftertaste is somewhat dry or else it is the wine.  At about 1.5" the little woman beckoned, and it had begun to turn a little bitter - abandoned.  Very nice finish - cocoa and coffee.
