Construction:     Band loose.  Double cap.  Wrapper is a little rough, foot swollen and split in 2 places.  Longest split is 1/2".  Very firm with no soft spots.  Cedar aroma.

Prelight:   Cut okay.  Cap flaked off, though wrapper was unaffected.  Draw firm, but not too tight.  Some vanilla in the unlit mild flavor.  No spice.

First third:      Sweet, nutty, coffee and/or cocoa.  Burn ragged.  Ash gray and flakey.  Ashed at about 1".

Second third:     Still sweet, nutty flavor and finish.  Vanilla again.  The water really brings out the finish.

Third third:      Became increasingly ashy.  Bit of pepper spice.  Abandoned it at 2".  Didn't nub this one.

Overall:    The first half was wonderful.  Once it turned ashy it bacame unpleasant.  The ashiness appeared suddenly from one puff to the next.  Others may perceive what I call "ashy" as something else.  Others may even enjoy the flavor.  I do not.  This is a truely great half cigar.
